Please note the University is closed until Thursday 2nd January 2025 and your disclosure will not be read until the University reopens. A member of staff will respond to your disclosure as soon as possible on our return.

For anyone who has experienced sexual assault or rape, the South Yorkshire Sexual Assault Referral Centre (SARC), Hackenthorpe Lodge is open every day of the year with staff able to provide information and support.

The University of Sheffield is fully committed to sustaining a positive and mutually supportive working environment free from harassment, discrimination, bullying and victimisation where staff can work collaboratively and productively together, and where all staff are equally valued and respected.

If something has gone wrong and you think you have experienced bullying or harassment, Report + Support is a route which you can use to raise concerns and access support.  More information is available for members of staff about how we respond to these concerns in the Bullying, Harassment and Sexual Misconduct policy.

The policy and web pages include definitions and examples of harassment, bullying, sexual misconduct, discrimination and victimisation. It sets out alternative approaches you could take in raising a concern, from informal to formal routes.  It also includes how to obtain support and advice from one of the Bullying & Harassment Independent Advisers, or routes such as HR or your trade union, if you are a member.

Whether you choose to report through Report + Support or follow any of the routes outlined in the Bullying, Harassment and Sexual Misconduct policy, we want to ensure you access the support you need.
